On Saturday, May 3, St. Clare of Assisi will be hosting a prayer walk at Exploration Green as a way to participate in the 2025 Jubilee titled "Pilgrims of Hope." On this walk, we will be lifting up our prayer intentions related to this jubilee year and the theme of Christian hope.
This event is open to all St. Clare parishioners and school families. Dogs are welcome to join as long as they are leashed. It is free to attend but we do ask you to RSVP below so we have a headcount for materials such as prayer cards.Prayer walking is a form of intercessory prayer where individuals walk, often in their community or a specific area, while praying for particular people, places, or situations. It's a way to engage in active prayer and connect with God in a tangible way, often focusing on the needs of others.
Definition: Prayer walking involves walking while praying, often with a specific focus on the needs of a particular place or people.
Purpose: It's a way to pray "without ceasing" and to intercede for others, focusing on their needs and the needs of the community.
How it works: Prayer walkers often choose a route and pray as they walk, paying attention to the sights, sounds, and people around them to discern areas of need.
