We often hear about Jesus’ Passion and death in the Gospels, the Rosary, the Mass, the Stations of the Cross, and many other devotions. Because we hear about Christ’s Passion so often, it’s easy for us to lose sight of its profound significance. But imagine if you had never heard these stories before. Imagine experiencing them for the very first time, and realizing that Jesus is a real person who really suffered and died for you and for me so that we can have eternal life.
This spring, we will be offering a program at St.Clare that will help you to experience Christ’s Passion and Death as you never have before. In No Greater Love: A Biblical Walk Through Christ’s Passion, we are going to walk step-by-step with Jesus on his journey from his Agony in the Garden to his Crucifixion on Calvary. Along the way, we will unpack the biblical background to these events, the prophecies, and most especially, the ways Jesus is inviting us to walk more closely with him today.
Every step of the way we will unpack Old Testament prophecies, messianic expectations, and connections to our Catholic Faith. We will see that practically every word in these Gospel accounts of Christ’s passion is charged with great significance. As we unpack these details, you will experience a deeper understanding and appreciation of God’s immeasurable and unconditional love for you—and you will grow closer to Jesus than you ever have before.
Filmed on location in the Holy Land, you will see the actual locations where Christ’s passion occurred!
Participants of No Greater Love will receive a hard-copy of the workbook, instant online access to the digital version of the workbook, and online access to the study's videos for a year. Meetings will be held weekly.

A Note on Registering and Purchasing the Materials:
The Matthew: The King and His Kingdom study program shows how Jesus fulfills God’s promises to Israel and establishes his kingdom on earth. Through references to the Old Testament promises of God to his people and the messages God sent them through the prophets, the Matthew Bible study program provides the key to understanding the rest of the New Testament and Christ as the fulfillment of God’s plan.
Matthew portrays Jesus as the true King who fulfills the Law the people of Israel have failed to keep and who introduces the new law that will accompany the New Covenant. In this 24-part study of the Gospel of Matthew, Jeff Cavins explains how Jesus is challenging and empowering us to a new level of holiness and shows how we must be thoroughly immersed in the kingdom of heaven on earth, the Church, to live it.
Where: The study will meet off-site.
When: Sunday mornings, ~10:15/10:30 am, beginning October 4, 2020
